Cold turkey

Going cold turkey is almost always the most effective way of disrupting addictive behavior. In more extenuating situations, it’s the only way.

You remove yourself from a situation, substance or person in order to weaken neural associations to the pleasure that you once received.Sometimes, your self-discipline is enough to get you by, and in some cases, you might need help from a counselor or accountability partner.

But the ultimate work happens in your mind and you simply must go cold turkey for a while.
