If you lead any team at all, your duty is not to manage. It is to provide a common vision that will in turn, produce cohesion and results.
The greatest gap a leader must then fill is the communication gap. You must find ways to articulate the desired trajectory for your company, family or nonprofit in a way that others clearly understand.
People are generally self-managing if they understand the vision, so don’t worry about managing them, irrespective of how small or large a team of which you have oversight. Focus on leading.
