Move your eyes laterally

If you are ever in a constraining situation and you need to shut off the fear-response centre in your mind, move your eyes laterally.

By moving your eyes laterally, from side to side, you trick your mind into looking for ways to confront the problem rather than avoid it.

The amygdala gets quieted because the brain assumes you are moving forward, and it allows the pre-frontal cortex to find a solution.
