Use reasons

Many times in your life, you would come against tough challenges, needing you to make clear cut decisions. Maybe you need to lose weight or make more money or write a book but don’t have sufficient motivation to do so.

In such circumstances, you need specific reasons. For instance, if you have a child who is still very young now, would you like to attend his or her college graduation? If the answer is yes, and you don’t want to have died from weight-related complications, then you must connect that reason to your weight-loss journey.

Use the same strategy for making money, writing a book or starting a company. Let your reasons move you out of your comfort zone and into taking action.

  1. I keep meaning to find my ‘why’ in everything, but I’m having a hard time doing so. Meanwhile, I’d run in the rain, through the haze, and through hangovers for seemingly no reason at all. If I can only use whatever subconscious power that’s helping me run to do everything else in life, I think I’d be golden.
