Throughout our lives, we will be sold ideological rhetoric by politicians, promises, which they’ll make, break and make again.
The promise of change will become static. Norms will become fluid. And we will generally find ourselves in the same spot as we have always been, with the bag in our hands, election cycle after election cycle.
The illusion of politicking is to appear different from others when one is actually the same. Consider it as a grand seduction perhaps, because at some point, you’d realize that conservatives want free markets, and liberal politicians favour state control. They are the same, only different sides to a coin.
