Every time you achieve something fantastic in your life or attain a certain milestone or check off an activity on your to-do list, something dangerous happens.
Like smoke from the exhaust pipe of a car, succeeding at things gives you a toxic air of invincibility. Don’t breathe it in. Rather, practice forgetting your achievements quickly while forging on to the next challenge.
If you choose to bask in a particular moment of achievement for whatever reason, know that you are setting yourself up for a Goliath-fall. On the contrary, recognize that these moments are fleeting, and like David, you have to always be humble and nimble at the same time.
