All that’s happening around the world today seems to be a battle of wits.
Established ideas, often steeped in layers of unquestioned dogma, get bandied as reality. And the larger society is fine with dogma, particularly when it gives something like a job or faith or life as it always has been.
But there’s another group that supports radically progressive concepts that challenge established narratives. These people, often ignored at the beginning, have their moments in time when their ideas take centre stage for their persistence.
The problem is, yesterday’s marginalized are today’s established and today’s established will be tomorrow’s marginalized. It’s the inevitable cycle of life; of Marx and then, Smith; of hegemonies and then, networks; of Davids and then, Goliaths.
Wit is what is all about.
