Nature vs culture

Everyone is beautiful when you think design, not aesthetics.

The melanin that causes darker skin pigments also helps to keep out UV rays that cause skin cancer, if you think about it.

The visceral fat around the abdomens of many people in colder climates of the world has kept out hypothermia for thousands of years, posing a challenge to the general ideas of attractiveness.

Attribute this to evolution or divine creation but it appears that nature itself is more concerned about functionality than our concepts of beauty. And here’s why.

Nature doesn’t care about sexy when it is trying to keep you alive. Also, our concepts of beauty are not natural-based but cultural. Nature is steady but culture is fluid. And from the standpoint of nature, everyone is beautiful. Think about it.
