People learn differently. For certain people, they learn by reading books. These people are good at analyzing texts and using their synthesis to make excellent decisions.
Others learn visually, by watching movies or emulating teachers or mentors. For example, Ridley Scott’s American Gangster is an excellent movie to watch if you are a visual learner in the business of shipping and distribution. Then, there’s YouTube and its offering as a search engine for visual learning of which, in many cases, people fail to take advantage.
Then there are kinesthetic learners who learn by muscle movement. These are the ones who learn by doing. They embody a learning experience and develop expertise through repeated actions.
Whichever you are, two things are important. Learn how best you learn so that you can save the time it takes you to get across learning curves.
