Best and second best

You may never know it but there’s always a mild difference between best and second best, in effort terms, in every aspect of life.

This small disparity—in seconds, market share or product warranties—can, however, produce revenue gaps of up to a billion dollars between the two.

What am I saying today? You need to sweat the small stuff after you have sweated the big ones. The extra effort could be what takes you from mediocre second-best to world-class.
