Pain is beneficial. It’s a physical sign of losing something to gain something else; of cutting weakness to attain strength; of demolishing flaws to build character.
You workout, giving up comfort to get in shape.
You refuse to take a job to work on that project, whose success would bring you wealth.
And sometimes, you give up the good in your life to get great.
If you are already in pain, you know exactly what I am talking about. Don’t cry about the pain to give up, cry to keep going. Even if the pain has come via illness, it’s a sure sign that there’s something better. Get a reward from your pain.
In sum, pain’s biggest benefit is clarity. You get a new perspective of what works from what doesn’t. You learn to re-strategize and on the whole, become a better person. So work through the pain.
