Mothers are our heroes, everyone of us. We came into this world through one of them.

And for the struggles of pregnancy to the pain pangs of delivery, that sacrifice was enough.

Our mother went on to nurture us and provide for us, sometimes, insisting on how and what we should and shouldn’t do. At other time, they’d be calm and listening even after we had embarrassed them, saying, “son…daughter, I told you but you didn’t listen.”

To my first BFF, my first love. To the woman who gave me life and food and the joy I fill when I write. This one is for you, Ma.

Happy Mother’s Day!
